Vanaha Gin and the Birth of Revelry Distillery: India’s New Chapter in Luxury Craft Spirits
Nestled within North Goa's Sattari region—where stories of the past whisper from ancient forests and the land is alive with primordial energy—is a quiet revolution. This revolution's leader is Vaniitha Jaiin, one of India's most prominent and well-respected voices in the premium alcobev space, and is internationally notable as one of the Top 10 Women of Wine. With the launch of Revelry Distillery, she is creating a legacy more than spirits.
Revelry Distillery: A Sanctuary for Modern Craftsmanship
All great spirits begin with intention. And Revelry Distillery is just that - intended artistry. With sustainability, precision, and authenticity at the forefront, the distillery made an impact in the industry and transformed what modern Indian craftsmanship can achieve. This intentional facility houses a fully-fledged R&D lab, a custom Hagyo pot still from Hungary, and a unique five-step gin-making process.
As it relates to gin-making, the five-step process is not just rare in the Indian context; it is elite on a global scale. The use of five steps that includes a blend of botanical maceration in a copper pot still, vapor infusion, cold vacuum distillation, and staging elevates Revelry to a class of distilleries that combine tradition with innovation.
Incorporating these techniques together creates a spirit that is not only consistently high in quality but is full of character and nuance. Science meets soul, and it is apparent.
Building a New Indian Spirit Narrative
“Revelry is built on authenticity, storytelling, and meticulous craftsmanship,” says Vaniitha Jaiin. But it’s more than a distillery—it’s a platform. Along with Navvin Jaiin, Director at Revelry, the vision is to catapult Indian spirits onto the global stage—not by mimicking others, but by distilling India’s own essence with precision and pride.
“We’re not just building a brand,” Navvin says. “We’re building a beacon of Indian excellence.”
This sentiment is at the very core of Revelry’s debut release—Vanaha Gin.
Vanaha Gin: The Epiphany of the Forest
Derived from the Sanskrit words ‘Vana’ (forest) and ‘Aha’ (epiphany), Vanaha Gin is a sipping gin that speaks to those who seek more than a drink—they seek ritual, reverence, and reflection.
It is a love letter to India's ancient forests and biodiversity. Vanaha is distilled using 24 botanicals that include Deodar Wood and Patchouli, Palash Flowers, Assam Lemons, and Himalayan Juniper Berries to syphon out an earthy, woody, aromatic, and multilayered flavor profile. Vanaha contains no artificial flavors, and it also contains no additives. It is simply nature in a bottle, distilled.
What is also unique about Vanaha is that we can cold vacuum distill it, a method that is only perfected by a few distilleries around the world. Cold vacuum distillation captures and maintains all of the delicate oils and aromatics from each of the botanicals, taking the aroma and flavor experience, as well as the finish, to new heights. Vanaha is a gin that you can taste long after you have finished your last sip.
This is the first gin to ever use this method in India. And we can tell.
Designed for the Senses
From bottle to pour, Vanaha Gin is an experience in its own right. In a forest green bottle with embossed copper foiling, finished off with a raised woodpecker seal—a strong symbol of life in India’s forests—the packaging truly reflects its origins.
Every part of it has been thoughtfully curated for a ‘forest-to-bottle’ experience. It is not just a product. It is a narrative. It is ritual in liquid form.
How to Enjoy Vanaha Gin
Vanaha is designed for sipping—neat over ice, or as the cornerstone of an elevated cocktail. Its refined complexity makes it perfect for gin purists, mixologists, and connoisseurs who seek depth, not dazzle.
This isn’t your average party pour. This is for the mindful indulgent; for those who slow down, breathe in, and celebrate flavour with reverence.
A Gin with a Purpose
Vanaha is more than a premium gin—it’s a symbol of India’s evolving spirits industry. It bridges heritage and innovation, luxury and sustainability, and places Indian terroir at the centre of the global map.
“We wanted to create a gin that honours our roots while standing shoulder to shoulder with the finest international brands,” says Vaniitha. And with Vanaha, they’ve done exactly that.
Price & Availability
Vanaha Gin officially launched in Goa on May 16, priced at ₹2,400 for a 750ml bottle. The brand is already preparing for its next rollout phase, with Karnataka set as its next destination, followed by other metropolitan markets across India.
